WORK EXPERIENCE

In 1998-2004 I worked for local TV networks as a video editor where I edited dozens of news items and human interest stories, and as part of the production team of SBS Netherlands.

In 2001, as part of my Master’s Degree in Communication Science, I did a full-time internship as a designer and webmaster at FinanceTelevision, one of the first news networks to broadcast financial news items exclusively online. At the same time I started creating my first websites for clients.

In 2003 I registered my business Rem-art. Since then I designed, developed and maintained hundreds of websites and created logos and marketing material for more than 250 international clients.

For Expatica.com, a community for English-speaking expatriates and internationals across Europe, I was a regular freelance designer from 2003 – 2007, working on the website design, UI elements, event websites, banners, flyers and posters.

From 2004 until 2019 I worked as the lead webdesigner for high-end dancewear company Yumiko.

For the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University I was a regular freelance banner designer for their MBA, Business and MSc programs from 2009 – 2015.

In 2019, I designed the logo and created the website for former James Bond actor George Lazenby.

My clients are based in the United States, The Netherlands, Belgium, the UK, Sweden and Germany.

Using my skills and interests I set up several personal projects, including Bond Lifestyle (2005, currently the most visited James Bond fan website in the world with a large social media following), Watch-ID.com and SunglassesID.com (2009, identifying watches and sunglasses in movies), for which I create all the content and manage the advertising.
